Our First Issue Launched in December 2007!
- The Journal of Writing in Creative Practice is the official organ of the Writing Purposefully in Art and Design (Writing PAD) network. It offers art and design institutions an arena in which to explore and develop the notion of thinking through writing as a parallel to visual discourse in art and design practice. The journal aims to extend the debates to all national and international higher educational art and design institutions.

Call for Papers
We will publish 1 volume each year which consists of 3 issues (usually January/April/November). We are always looking for new submissions.

Call for Papers: Volume 2
We hope to have three guest edited issues for volume 2.
- The first issue Writing Encounters within Performance and Pedagogical Practice will be published in 2009.
- The deadline for full papers is November 21st 2008.

- We are hoping that issues 2 and 3 will be guest edited either by
- 1. Our Writing PAD Centre in Wales: Swansea Metropolitan University
- 2. Our Writing PAD Centre in Scotland: Edinburgh College of Art
- 3. Our Writing PAD Centre in OSLO: KiHO (Kunsthøgskolen i Oslo).
